A record of all the times I update this website, and what I've added. All updates are added in the DD/MM/YYYY format.
It's my birthday! <-- I'll make a cool animation for this text later...
Sorry for my absence. This journal entry explains why.
About page has been updated with extra info. Not linked because it's still incomplete, but it's in the navigation bar.
I will share an embarassing story from my childhood right now, since I didn't get to that part on the page:
I learned what HIV/AIDS was when I was very young (8-9) because I learned about some artist who died of it. When I looked it up, I found out someone could be "HIV-Positive" (They have it) or "HIV-Negative" (They don't.) Somehow, I interpretated this as "Positive=good, no HIV." When my mom came home, I asked her if I was HIV-positive or negative. Obviously, she said Negative.
This was extremely devastating to me, and I became convinced I had, and would die of AIDS. I cried for an hour and promptly forgot why I was upset. If you ever think you are dumb, remember: I cried because I didn't have AIDs.
My university classes have started again. I hope that despite this, I will still have time to update this site.
While purchasing supplies for my classes, I noticed that some of the rulers and guides I used have an unplesant smell to them. After some messing around, I found a way to remove the smell. I have posted a guide on how to do so HERE. It is also an entry on my Journal page.
I got the email address, I was approved for it recently. I had to wait a little while longer as Disroot's sign-ups were closed for the weekend, and they hadn't changed the page even though it was Monday. But I was approved sometime last night.
I know that Disroot's website states the following: All emails, unless encrypted by the user (with GnuPG/PGP, for example) are stored unencrypted on our servers. I, by default, encrypt manually when possible, so this isn't a big concern to me. If you are worried, you may encrypt your stuff to me too. My Key is Here. Make sure to send me your keys in the initial email so I can read them!
I hope to recieve fun emails. I'll try to respond to everyone.
No new pages, but I did fix up a few links that were previously broken.
I'm looking into getting a disroot email address for anyone who does want to contact me. Some people have my old protonmail, but I do not want to use it more than I have to. Protonmail is just trying to be the new Google, but appealing to people overly obsessed with privacy, yet not even being fully private. I made my email when I first started weaning myself off of Google services and didn't know much. I'll put my email on the contacts page once I get approved. Send me a message when it's up!
Happy New Years! I was busy entertaining my friends, but I did make a little ramble for my 09/01 JOURNAL ENTRY.
My friends are here for New Years. We watched some films and made some art.
My art is on 29/12'S JOURNAL ENTRY, along with a rant about western film, which devolved into complaints about how the world treats children.
I'm looking into setting up an email account so there's a better way to contact me. I DO have a personal email I use to talk to people, but I don't like it. I will update my contact page when I find an email provider I am satistfied with.
My family does not celebrate Christmas. I've grown up used to not recieving presents. However, I did take the chance to buy myself some items at a local computer part store that I think would benefit me in the future. I got the last Raspberry Pi Pico they had in stock, and am quite happy about it. My dad gave me some of his old electronics for me to tinker with, maybe I'll write about them if anything comes out of it.
I did take a look at the RAM prices to humor myself, absolutely nightmarish. I don't have a need for a big desktop computer, but I can't help but feel bad for those who do. I fly back to my apartment later today.
I've fixed the issue with kanji/chinese characters that I wrote about in my previous entry. turns out I have to add " meta charset="UTF-8" " to the head of the page to make sure things load right.
I wrote that on my old website. I don't know why I forgot this time around. At least I'll be able to use apostrophes now.
This was done because in the past few months many of my opinions, beliefs, and interests have changed. The website then is no longer an accurate reflection of me (and frankly a little embarassing.) There are archives of the website but if you choose to read it, know that it is extremely outdated.
THERE IS CURRENTLY A VERY ANNOYING ISSUE. I am having a problem where if I try to add kanji/chinese characters to this website, it gets RAPED and becomes gibberish when I upload the html file to cpanel. If I try fixing it on Cpanel, it makes the website completely editable for some reason. If someone has information about how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.
